Princess Piggy visits Burke Street Mall

The Piggy Bank Appeal is the biggest annual fundraiser for Very Special Kids which aims to raise over $1 million to support families of children with life-threatening illnesses. The Appeal runs throughout September with businesses, community groups and whole towns getting together to organise activities which raise money for this unique Victorian organization.

Activities are often centred around a visit from one of the five giant (700kg) piggy banks. The piggy banks: Penelope, Percy, Princess, Patrick and George drive throughout Melbourne and Victoria. They are accompanied by a wonderful group of volunteers, visiting hundreds of towns and cities to collect donations, sell merchandise and distribute information about Very Special Kids. The 2009 Piggy Bank Appeal raised $968,000 and They're aiming to raise even more during the 2010 Piggy Bank Appeal.

Funny street performance

I just love this street performance. It was so funny. This kind of performance is play around Melbourne. Last time, I saw in Brunswick Festival. And this time at Federal Square.

First, I think I am not going to watch this show because I was about to across the road and he just turn up. While I wait for the traffic light. He starts his show. And it was so funny. Finally, I have to walk back, sat down and watched his show. He plays with the random people around him. For me, It is cool. Because he play with random people. He can't be prepare any script or any performance. And he have to made random people ( who always ran away ) to be a part of his funny performance.

Like this girl in the first photo, he saw her want to take a photo of him. He just say " Common ! get a great photo...I know you want it " and then he suddenly lay down did a several funny posture for her. After she got all shots, he offered to take photo of her by her camera. She passed it on to him and then he just ran away with camera and offer to the people who walks passed " 2 dollar...Great deal...Great camera...Great price...last chance !..2 dollar !! "

ANZAC Day

Today is Anzac day

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, and is commemorated by both countries on 25 April every year to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I.

Today I go no where but my husband's friends came over to have lunch with us. We all have a good time. While we sat in the backyard , I just notice she wore an anzac badge today. It is not a whole lot special to me but to see someone ware it. It show respected to what the anzac did for all australian in the war. It is a nice feeling but I have to apologize can't get a clear photo.
